It has been a bad week for all of us.
Whis had not been well for a week or two, and we were all worried about her. We were prepared for the worst to happen, as 9 years is good for a Newfoundland.
On Tuesday, she wouldn't eat. Suddenly, she lost the use of her back legs. She could not stand, and moving her was impossible, especially as Dad was away. It was like she was paralized form the waist down. It was very upsetting.
We made the call to the vet. Apparantly, there was a large mass in her stomach. I guess it must have ruptured. She has had a growth before, but this went undetected. There was nothing they could do for her except end her pain.
She is already greatly missed.
