It was my sisters birthday yesterday. No longer a teenager.
The day was overshadowed by the fact that Grandma was - and still is - fading away in her hospital bed. She ended up there after having another fall. A bad one this time.
Mum and Dad were supposed to be going to visit friends and relatives in Denmark today, but that is on hold until further notice.
The waiting.
The endless waiting.
Watching her fade away.
Dreading picking up the telephone every time it rings.
