I have found a few things that I missed along the way - namely whilst I was with the Ex... My entire life stopped - the fun and interesting stuff at least - for half a decade, and now I have a backlog of Things I NEEEEED!
These collectible items happen to be related to my single gaming obsession that started shortly before my 15th birthday, and escalated as soon as I opened the present that was the game I'd nagged about. Little did I know that the door should probably have stayed closed... (Would I have changed it? No way!! I would probably have got out there and worked harder, or won the lottery or mugged little old ladies or something.)
The one bit I really, REALLY want happens to be discontinued, and therefore is priced at roughly the same level as a nugget of uranium.
Thanks to the past few weeks, I have eaten into a serious amount of my life savings (fucking bills are insane this year!!). So much so, that I am toying with the idea of chipping into it a little more...
...If my willpower holds out, I will have to think of another way... I would probably sell my soul to get it. Possibly even a kidney. Anyone need one of these..? I'd have sold the Ex, but he wouldn't have fetched much sadly.
On the plus side, I just got sent back half a life by a single sound effect that made my heart smile. This is the most buoyant I have been all week - no tears today!! (Not sad ones at least!)
I am also blessed (or cursed, depending on whether you're looking from my point of view or my bank's) to have a fella who completely understands my passion. He is a bad influence where it is concerned, to be fair. If I do buy what I am lusting after, the most he will ever do is shake his head and mentally plan on us building a big enough house.
