Today I tackled the stinging nettle patch running next to my poor vegetables, amongst a host of other unnecessary weeds. (No, I don't like nettle tea or soup, they couldn't stay.)
I came in when the rain started, and watched a programme about butterfly and moth loss in this country and how good nettles are for a number of species.
Now, do I feel good that I did some much-needed maintenance, or bad that I've contributed to habitat loss?
